Life is difficult
And according to the greatest martial artist of all time, prayer is key to find the strength to overcome it.
Stack’em
Lot of consonants in this one. The early sketches had it vertical and I stuck to it, even though it was tricky to draw the ‘G’ and ‘H’as slim as the ‘T’.
On the colours I wanted freshness to contrast the theme and infuse it with a forward driven energy. The outline is complimentary purple with rounded corners.
Bling
The metal shine is pure silver foil, laid on easy, for a brushed effect. On the front side, is an inline grind. You won’t notice it at first, but when you do, you want to touch it to believe it.
Bruce Lee
Was a remarkable actor and a legendary martial artist who inspired a generation.
Lee is considered by some commentators and martial artists to be the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century, who bridged the gap between East and West.
Strength
Silver foil, purple outline on lemon yellow. Inline letters grinned on front of the glass.
Show Up
Make it POP! Full blast on colour, type and composition. Also, an unusual editorial take.
Don’t fear failure
Horizontal piece with floating 3D letters with gradient shadows and coarse drop shadow.
Go all the way
Vertical piece based on the stirring and deeply motivational poem by Charles Bukowski
Vision
Hand cut Mahogany type on mint green, antique window with polished metal fittings
