Don’t fear failure
“In great attempts it is glorious even to fail”
With this piece, I wanted to challenge myself, using gradient techniques.
Bruce Lee
Was a remarkable movie maker and a legendary martial artist who inspired a whole generation.
He was the founder of Jeet Kune Do, a hybrid martial arts philosophy drawing from different combat disciplines.
Lee is considered by some commentators and martial artists to be the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century, who bridged the gap between East and West.
Brush gradient
Grab a wide brush, drop your colours and work them in until the gradient sits. Okay, I had to redo three letters, but this in’t the last time I’m using this one.
Shadow gradient
Using a rattle can at a steep angle, squeezing the tip of the cap to make it sputter, for a halftone effect. Then, a final coat of red.
As shown at Lorraine, Smallegade
Strength
Silver foil, purple outline on lemon yellow. Inline letters grinned on front of the glass.
Show Up
Make it POP! Full blast on colour, type and composition. Also, an unusual editorial take.
