P.O.'s story
He never attended art school. He used to make so many mistakes that he ended up taking a design job. At 26 he became the youngest Art Director in Denmark (Euroman).
Japan
During his years in Tokyo, he designed numerous façades and poster for the Danish embassy. He also designed magazines for Mazda and VW Japan, while painting portraits, urban landscapes and typography on plywood.
Un-modern
Art-theory: The work is made in the intersection between the user and the builder.
The patron gets involved. Share his or her vision. The artist challenges and creates.
Craftsman
His art journey started with grit, improvisation, and an eye for possibility. When he returned to Copenhagen, he couldn’t afford plywood or canvas for his artwork. He stumbled upon old windows being replaced by workmen. For the price of a six-pack of Faxe Kondi, he exchanged soda for glass and discovered a new medium.
